Study Abroad Programs

Through the Washington State Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA) Whatcom Community College offers study abroad programs to many destinations around the world. WCCCSA, in cooperation with providers like the American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS), offers specially tailored programs for first-time international travelers. Support includes pre-program advising, a pre-departure orientation, as well as in-country support throughout the study abroad program.

Minimum application requirements for study abroad programs include:

  • Being at least 17 years of age (18 years of age for some programs)
  • Completion of at least 10 college-level credits
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.5

arrive in Cape Town on Sept. 24 - depart Cape Town on Nov. 30

Program Fee: $6,195 (based on enrollment of 15-19  participants)

HIST 208 - History of Africa (Humanities)

HIST 118 - Western Civilization III (Humanities)

Program fee: $7,195 (plus $275 airport taxes/surcharges) incl. round-trip airfare
